El presente “Código de Conducta para Proveedores” reúne un conjunto de valores y principios que esperamos compartan
ya que es parte importante para seleccionar y evaluar a los mismos.

Es por ello que emitimos el presente “Código de Ética Empresarial y Responsabilidad Social para Proveedores”, que reúne un conjunto de valores y principios que esperamos que compartan ya que es parte importante para seleccionar y evaluar a los mismos. Asimismo, los alentamos para que apliquen estos estándares en su cadena de suministro.
Este código de conducta está a disposición de todos nuestros proveedores, en el sitio web: www.esme.com.ar. Asimismo, se le comunicará a cada
proveedor, vía mail para que se notifiquen del mismo.
We expect our suppliers to conduct their businesses ethically, with standards of honesty, integrity, fairness, and transparency in all their activities, in compliance with current legislation governing their activities.
The ethical guidelines to be followed are detailed below:
We encourage our suppliers not to commit or tolerate any acts of corruption, extortion, or embezzlement. They will not pay or accept bribes or anticipate any other illegal incentive in business or government relationships. In this regard, in their business relationship with Laboratorios Esme SAIC, our suppliers are urged not to make (themselves and/or through third parties) payments and/or offer goods and/or services of any value (including, without limitation, sums of money, valuables, and/or services), whether as compensation, donations, and/or contributions to any person and/or organization, public, private, and/or governmental (including, without limitation, shareholders, directors, employees, agents, family members, and/or third parties directly or indirectly linked to Laboratorios Esme SAIC), whenever such payments, contributions, and/or donations are and/or may be considered illegal and/or ethically questionable. If you become aware of any of the aforementioned conduct (or any other similar conduct), you will report the incident(s) to Laboratorios Esme SAIC through any of the following channels, in which the confidentiality of the complainant will be maintained: compliance@esme.com.ar or by phone at 4761-0025.
b-Fair competition and antitrust Suppliers will conduct their business in accordance with fair competition and in compliance with all applicable antitrust laws. They will employ fair business practices.
Suppliers will not use or disclose confidential information of Laboratorios Esme SAIC except with the company's express consent. All information and data will be treated confidentially at all times, except for information that is in the public domain.
Suppliers must inform Laboratorios Esme SAIC's compliance department at compliance@esme.com.ar of any perceived or actual conflicts of interest.
A conflict of interest arises when personal interests or activities influence, or appear to influence, the ability to act objectively for the benefit of Laboratorios Esme SAIC. Suppliers must inform Laboratorios Esme SAIC if an employee or professional hired by the company has any business interest, economic ties, or kinship with the supplier.
3. Environmental Responsibility Suppliers must assume a commitment to future generations by complying with current environmental legislation, using resources rationally, properly managing environmental impacts, and strengthening environmental culture within the framework of continuous improvement.
4. Transparent and mutually beneficial relationships with society Suppliers will maintain, in every way possible, positive, transparent, and relevant links with stakeholders, fostering a mutually beneficial relationship between suppliers and the community, contributing to institutional strengthening.
5. Respect for human rights Los proveedores deberán desarrollar una fuerza de trabajo respetando la diversidad de razas, credos, género, orientación sexual y pensamiento, promoviendo una cultura de inclusión sin ningún tipo de discriminación. Deberán designar una persona responsable para recibir las denuncias ante cualquier violación a los derechos humanos.
Prohibition of child labor and protection of adolescent labor.
The hiring of persons under the age of 16 in any type of activity, whether or not for profit, is expressly prohibited. The company will participate and contribute to all policies that facilitate the transition period necessary for any child engaged in child labor to attend school and receive a quality education until they are no longer children.
Persons from sixteen (16) years of age and under eighteen (18) years of age may enter into all types of employment contracts, under the conditions provided for in articles 32 and following of Law 20,744. Regulations, collective labor agreements or salary tables que se elaboren, garantizarán a estos trabajadores igualdad de retribución, cuando cumplan jornadas de trabajo o realicen tareas propias de trabajadores mayores. 7. Free choice of employment Suppliers shall not use involuntary and/or forced labor within the company. Workers shall not be required to leave any "deposits" with the company upon starting employment, nor shall they be required to leave their identity documents in the employer's custody, and shall be free to leave their employment with reasonable notice.
Suppliers must guarantee all their employees freedom of expression, as this is the fundamental right of individuals to freely express, demonstrate, and disseminate what they think without being harassed. Surveys, inquiries, or inquiries into employees' political, religious, union, cultural, or sexual orientation opinions are expressly prohibited.
Cada empleado podrá expresar libremente sus opiniones sobre tales aspectos en los lugares de trabajo, en tanto ello no interfiera en el normal desarrollo de las tareas.
9. Freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining All workers, without distinction, have the right to join or form trade unions of their choice and to bargain collectively. Suppliers must be tolerant of trade union activity and organizing activities. They must ensure that union members, worker representatives, and all personnel involved in organizing workers are not subject to discrimination, harassment, intimidation, or retaliation for being union members, representing, or organizing workers, and that such representatives have access to their union members in the workplace.
There will be no discrimination in recruitment, remuneration, training, promotion, dismissal or retirement based on race, national, territorial or social origin, religion, age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, family responsibilities, marital status, trade union or political affiliation, or any other condition that could give rise to discrimination. The organization does not interfere with the exercise of the rights of staff to comply with principles or practices or to have needs met related to their race, national or social origin, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, family responsibilities, trade union membership, political opinions or any other condition that could give rise to discrimination.
Suppliers will not permit any behavior that is threatening, abusive, exploitative, or sexually coercive, including gestures, language, and physical contact, in the workplace.
11. Harassment and workplace abuse Any conduct that could be considered workplace violence is expressly prohibited. All actions and omissions by individuals or groups of individuals that, in the context of the workplace or relationship, systematically and repeatedly violate the dignity and physical, sexual, psychological, and/or social integrity of workers through sexual harassment, abuse, abuse of power, attacks, threats, intimidation, intimidation, unequal pay, discriminatory treatment, and physical, psychological, and/or social mistreatment fall within this scope.
12. Working hours and wages Suppliers must adjust the length of the working day to the provisions of current legislation or to the provisions of the relevant sector's collective bargaining agreement, if this is more favorable to the worker. Suppliers must ensure that the wages paid to their workers are in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement and the employee's professional category.
13. Health, safety, environment and quality regulations Suppliers must comply with all applicable regulations and obtain and maintain all necessary permits, licenses, and registrations.
Suppliers shall act in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, contractual agreements and standards.
The commitment to ensuring health and safety is a task that includes us all, which is why we urge our suppliers to adhere to the same principles as Laboratorios Esme SAIC.
The primary objective is to contribute to the preservation of the health and safety of personnel and the condition of their property, ensuring adequate working conditions to this end.
This objective is based on:
- Safety, Hygiene, Quality and Production are a single priority.
- Workplace accidents and occupational diseases can be avoided and should be prevented.
- Compliance with Safety Standards and Procedures is a responsibility shared by all levels of the company.
- Safety inspections and observations are essential practices for implementing preventive and corrective actions.
- Order and cleanliness are basic conditions for safe work.
- Risk prevention training and instruction, as well as fluid communication, are an ongoing practice at all levels of practice.
16. Environment
The commitment to protecting the environment is a task that includes us all, which is why we encourage our suppliers to carry out all their activities within a framework of environmental protection. Laboratorios Esme SAIC encourages its suppliers to collaborate with the sustainability of human activities, which is why we establish the following fundamental principles:
- Comply with applicable environmental laws and regulations and other requirements to which Laboratorios Esme SAIC subscribes.
- Continuously improve and prevent pollution, that is, minimize and avoid, to the extent possible, the environmental impacts resulting from our activities.
- Inform and collaborate with public authorities in situations of emergencies or environmental abnormalities and express our ongoing commitment to cooperate with them.
- Involve, train, and empower everyone within the organization to respect, share, and apply the principles of this environmental policy, whether they are employees, suppliers, or contractors, actively participating in the continuous improvement of Laboratorios Esme SAIC's environmental performance.
- Maintain a good relationship and exchange with stakeholders.
17. Quality
Our suppliers must meet previously agreed-upon quality standards to supply us with goods and services, fully and consistently satisfying the needs and expectations of our customers and consumers, fostering continuous improvement.
Los proveedores contarán con procedimientos para prevenir o mitigar la fuga de sustancias químicas, incendios y explosiones.
Identificarán y evaluarán las situaciones de emergencia que afecten el lugar de trabajo y minimizarán las consecuencias potencialmente adversas mediante la implementación y el mantenimiento de planes de emergencia y procedimientos de respuesta eficaces.
La dirección del proveedor es responsable de proporcionar formación sobre seguridad, simulacro de incendio u otro tipo de formación en seguridad como lo exige el tipo de sector y según la normativa sobre incendios y seguridad.
Suppliers shall have systems in place to ensure the handling, movement, storage, recycling, reuse, or management of waste and air emissions, as well as the discharge of wastewater. All waste, wastewater, or emissions that may potentially have an adverse impact on human health or the environment must be managed, controlled, and treated before being discharged into the environment. Suppliers shall have systems in place to prevent or mitigate accidental releases and emissions into the environment.
20. Communication of sustainability criteria in the supply chain Expectations of compliance with the stated principles will be communicated to the supplier's entire supply chain.
21. Commitment and responsibility Suppliers will demonstrate commitment to the concepts detailed in this document by allocating appropriate resources.
Suppliers must have mechanisms in place to detect, determine, and manage any risks corresponding to the areas addressed in this document.
23. Accurate records and documentation Suppliers will maintain accurate records and the necessary documentation to demonstrate their commitment to the principles and values outlined in this Code of Conduct. These records must be made available to Esme SAIC Laboratories for mutually agreed-upon inspection to confirm compliance with the standards described.
24. Training and competence The training measures implemented by suppliers must include managers and employees so that they are aware of and understand the contents of this code of conduct.
